Job Overview

This position is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist with a focus in Microbiology. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in a hospital laboratory setting, specifically in microbiology, and will possess the ability to read complex cultures with minimal training.

Shift Details

This role operates on an evening schedule, Monday through Friday, from 3 PM to 11 PM, with weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing and analysis on samples.
• Interpret test results and send accurate reports to healthcare teams.
• Maintain quality control standards and adhere to safety procedures.
• Stay current with microbiological techniques and advancements.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to support patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology is required.
• ASCP MT or MLS certification is required.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a hospital laboratory is necessary.
• High skill set in all areas of microbiology as outlined in the skills checklist.
