Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. This position involves working three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with the expectation of every other weekend commitment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and support.
• Float between like units or sister facilities as needed to meet facility needs.
• Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency department setting.
• Possession of a current South Carolina nursing license or a Compact license.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
• Preferred experience in Trauma Level I or II facilities.
• Previous charge experience is highly valued.
• Experience with Epic electronic health records is mandatory.

Additional Information

• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Approval for block scheduling can be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission and will be approved based on facility needs.
• Guaranteed hours allow for the possibility of cancellation of one shift per two weeks.

Important Note

Travelers should be aware of the hurricane season, which runs from June through November. During this time, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Please confirm availability accordingly if scheduling during this period.
