Telehealth Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a qualified Telehealth Registered Nurse to join our team. This role will require a strong ability to adapt and provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

• Shift: 12 hours, 1845-0715
• Contract Length: 36 or 48 hours accepted; longer contracts of 13-26 weeks considered.
• Flotation: Required within skillset, including potential inpatient boarding in the emergency department.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6.

Responsibilities

• Participate in unit team meetings and attend mandatory orientations and classes.
• Adhere to policies regarding request time off (RTO); limit of 7 days of RTO allowed.
• React promptly during catastrophic events or disasters, as assigned.

Requirements

• Certifications: BLS certification required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Preferred: Charge experience.
• Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to start.
• All staff required to attend unit meetings, which may occur outside regular shifts.

Unit Details

• Unit is equipped to handle isolation for COVID patients and provides multi-level care, including stepdown.
• Travelers are expected to float before core team members.
• Unit systems include Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication.

Orientation

Orientation will last 24 hours, and travelers should expect to attend hospital orientation during the first week, as well as daily classes.

Uniform

Scrubs must be navy in color.
