General Medical Technologist

Job Overview

This position requires a highly skilled General Medical Technologist responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyzing results. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in various laboratory disciplines and be adept at multi-tasking within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests in the areas of Microbiology, Serology, Immunohematology, Chemistry, and Hematology.
• Analyze test results and ensure accuracy in all findings.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in cross-training and the adaptation to multiple roles as needed in the laboratory.
• Utilize Wellsky and Epic systems for managing patient data effectively.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Licensure in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Serology, and Microbiology.
• ASCP or AMT certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Technologist or at least 4 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
• Ability to multi-task and remain agile in a busy work environment.
• Experience with Wellsky is highly preferred; familiarity with Epic systems is mandatory.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with 12-hour night shifts. Orientation dates are scheduled for November 23rd and November 30th.
