Xray Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Xray Technician to join our Radiology department. This position requires an individual with strong expertise in performing various imaging studies and outstanding patient care in both emergency and outpatient settings.

Job Details

• Shift: Day and Evening shifts available
• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in Xray
• Weekend Requirements: Rotation with staff
• Holiday Requirements: Rotation with staff

Required Qualifications

• ARRT Certification
• BLS Certification (AHA)

Job Duties

• Perform routine and specialized Xray examinations in ER, inpatient, and outpatient settings
• Provide high-quality patient care during imaging procedures
• Conduct portable imaging and assist in surgical cases as needed
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, including radiologists
• Utilize EMR (Cerner) and PACS (Sectra) for patient documentation and imaging reports
• Maintain department equipment, including Siemens and Fuji imaging systems

Additional Information

• The department operates with three Xray scanners in outpatient settings and two in the emergency department
• The Xray Technician may be required to float between various departments, including ED, inpatient, and outpatient areas
• Radiology support includes a Lead Technician overseeing operations
• No IV starts are required for this position
• All clinicians must clock in and out while on duty

Orientation

A comprehensive orientation program lasting one week will be provided to help you acclimate to the department and its operations.
