Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Position Overview

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role in providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns during the childbirth process. Nurses in this specialty work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare environment to ensure the safety, health, and comfort of patients during labor and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal health throughout the labor process.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Provide education and support to expectant mothers and their families.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document nursing care and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a Compact State RN license.

Work Schedule

This position involves night shifts, requiring three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
