Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive care across multiple settings, including inpatient hospitals, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care and a passion for improving patient outcomes through effective communication strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations and treatment for patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Conduct swallowing bed evaluations and video fluoroscopic swallow studies, if applicable.
• Flexibly manage patient loads and adapt to the needs of various care environments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required.
• New York State licensure is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Completion of a clinical fellowship year is required.
• Experience in an inpatient acute care setting is preferred.
• Experience conducting video fluoroscopic swallow studies is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Schedule

This position involves 8-hour workdays with potential weekend rotation as needed based on patient care requirements.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to cover multiple locations within a 75-mile radius is essential. Local candidates within this range may apply at local rates.
