Shift Information

12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, with on-call as required. Please note that block scheduling requests cannot be guaranteed.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include assessing patients’ needs, planning and implementing nursing care, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individual care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their responsible party.
• Utilize clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient conditions.
• Foster a positive workplace environment by managing conflicts professionally.
• Participate in activities related to Core Measure responsibilities.
• Engage in continuing education to enhance professional development.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a similar setting.

Specialized Units

Experience in the following areas is preferred:

• Intensive Care Unit
• Progressive Care Unit
• Cardiac Services
• Emergency Room
• Pediatrics
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Additional Certifications

• ACLS-PALS
• NRP
• OCN
