Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NICU

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) to join our team. This role involves providing respiratory care in pediatric settings, including pediatric floors, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Emergency Room (ER), and NICU.

Shift Details

• Shift: Night 3×12 (19:00 – 07:30)
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Floating Required: Yes – staff must be willing to float to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and therapy to patients in pediatric and neonatal units.
• Utilize medication systems, including Pyxis and Omnicell, for patient treatment administration.
• Document patient care using the EPIC documentation system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Participate in department initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Pediatric Critical Care or Emergency Room settings.
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, PALS, and a valid RRT license in South Carolina.
• Experience with pediatric populations, including critical care environments (PICU, NICU).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

As part of an agency staff, individuals must be adaptable and willing to float to various units within the organization based on census needs, ensuring that all competencies have been demonstrated and documented.
