Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric care and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule Details

• Contract Duration: 52 weeks
• Shift: Night 4×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)
• Every other holiday is required; must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays
• 3 weekends during a six-week schedule
• Time off may be requested, though approval is limited…
• Time off is not approved for the first 2 weeks of the contract

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU
• Assist with patient assessments, treatment plans, and ongoing care management
• Coordinate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• May be required to float to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs

Qualifications

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications
• Previous pediatric cardiac experience is a plus
• Valid nursing license; can accommodate a pending Virginia nursing license
