Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing. This position offers a 12-hour night shift schedule with a requirement of 36 hours per week. The role involves floating between various departments, including Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU). Candidates must be flexible and willing to adapt to different patient care areas as needed.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

• Availability to work every other weekend.
• Holidays may be required based on department needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in Critical Care Unit (CCU) or Emergency Department (ED) is required.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Willingness to float between departments is mandatory.
• Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly desirable.
• BLS, NIHSS, NRP, and ACLS certifications are required at the time of application.
• Must possess a valid Massachusetts RN license prior to beginning the assignment.
• Must have reliable transportation for commuting to work.
