Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care and the ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and medical histories.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Support and empathize with patients and families during critical times.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment in a similar capacity.
• Strong clinical skills, especially in a combined adult and pediatric emergency setting.
• Proficiency in using Cerner electronic health records.

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Work Schedule

This position requires night shifts with a typical schedule of 4×12 hours. Weekend coverage is required, including every other weekend, with 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule (Friday and Saturday nights).

Additional Information

Scrubs are not provided, and the required color is royal blue.
