NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neonatal care and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to our most vulnerable patients.

Job Details

• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience.
• Patient Ratios: Typical ratio of 1:3, with occasional 1:4 during surge periods.
• Shift Requirements: Day shifts, 3×12 hours (07:00 – 19:30).
• Weekend Commitment: 12 shifts required per contract.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week, with the potential for call-offs up to 3 times during a 13-week assignment.

Qualifications

• Certifications Required: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Floating Requirements: Willingness to float within the scope to Pediatric ICU, Level II NICU, and MBU.
• Pending License: Accepted.
• RTO Restrictions: Requests for time off greater than 7 days require approval.

Clinical Skills

The position requires proficiency in:

• High-acuity neonate care (including neonates <23 weeks, <23-28 weeks, <29-32 weeks, >32 weeks, and full-term newborns).
• IV vasopressors administration.
• High-frequency ventilation and high-flow nasal cannula management.
• Respiratory distress syndrome and ventilator management.

• Type of Facility: Level I Trauma, Teaching, Children’s Hospital, Short-term acute care.
• Total Staffed Beds: 554.
• Charting System: Cerner.
