Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department.
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias effectively.
• Utilize EPIC charting for accurate patient documentation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the triage process as needed.
• Administer continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation when required.

Work Schedule

• 3 shifts of 12 hours each (Day Shift: 07:00 – 19:30).
• Must be available to work 3 weekends (Friday to Sunday) per 4-week schedule.

Qualifications

• Current state nursing license.
• ACLS certification.
• BCLS certification by AHA.
• PALS certification.
• TNCC certification.
• ENPC certification is preferred.
• NIH certification.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience in a Level I trauma center.
• Demonstrated capability in managing high patient ratios (1:5-6, potentially up to 8 during peak times and holidays).
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration is preferred.

Additional Information

• The unit is a Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department.
• It is acknowledged that the environment may present high patient-to-nurse ratios requiring adaptability and resilience.
