Shift Information
This position includes evening and night shifts from 1900 to 0730, with a schedule of 12-hour shifts. The role requires every other weekend and some holiday availability. For travel nurses, 4×12 scheduling and blocked weekend options are available based on preference.
Unit Information
Responsibilities will primarily take place in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
Role Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the CVICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously.
- Perform advanced medical procedures and therapies as required.
- Utilize the NextStage CVVH machine effectively.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current RN license is required.
- Previous CVICU experience is mandatory.
- Proficiency in using the NextStage CVVH machine is necessary.
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery and/or acuity adaptable areas is preferred.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Additional Requirements
The traveler must successfully pass a telemetry test prior to starting the position.
