Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our float pool team. This position is critical in providing exceptional patient care across various units within our health system.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient health and respond to emergencies effectively.
• Document patient care services and progress accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Participate in staff meetings, educational opportunities, and collaborative quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Current, active Registered Nurse license required.
• 1-3 years of related nursing experience is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (CPR-AHA) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
• Basic familiarity with computer systems and web-based applications.
• Experience with EMR systems is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a teaching hospital or specialty area.
• Level I trauma experience is highly preferred.

Work Schedule:

• This is a float pool position requiring rotating shifts, including days and nights.
• Availability to work three 8-hour shifts and one 12-hour shift in a four-week period will be required.
• Weekend and holiday work is mandatory.

Additional Information:

• Medical exemptions for COVID and flu vaccines will be accepted.
• No local travelers will be considered (residents must live more than 50 miles from the facility).
• Orientation is conducted weekly on Mondays, except for holidays.
