Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Orthopedics, particularly in Total Joints, and be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field.
• Manage surgical instruments and supplies efficiently during operations.
• Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations, maintaining a focus on patient safety and quality of care.

Shift Information

This position requires a 10-hour evening rotation, including short call, weekend call, and night call responsibilities. Scrub duties are required.

Required Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• 1-3 years of related work experience in a surgical setting.
• Strong background and experience in Orthopedics and Total Joint procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a teaching hospital or similar high-acuity surgical environment.
• Specialty area expertise in other surgical disciplines such as Gynecology, General Surgery, Urology, Robotics, Oncology, Ophthalmology, ENT, or Plastic Surgery.

Additional Information

Orientation for new hires is conducted weekly, providing a thorough introduction to the team and operational protocols. Candidates must be available for immediate start, with a preference for those who can comply with onboarding timelines.

Please note that local travelers (within 50 miles) are not eligible for this role, and those who have recently worked within this healthcare system must have a six-month separation period prior to application.
