Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including prior travel experience. This position requires a strong background in orthopedics, with the ability to provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts
• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• Float to other units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care to adult and geriatric populations, focusing on orthopedic and medical-surgical patients.
• Monitor patients using telemetry and respond to changes in health status.
• Work effectively as a Charge RN when needed, overseeing nursing staff and ensuring quality patient care.
• Utilize the unit’s physical therapy gym to facilitate patient rehabilitation without needing to leave the unit.
• Manage high-volume patient populations including those recovering from total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties.
• Assist with other surgical procedures, as well as care for inpatient and 24-hour observation medical patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Previous travel experience is necessary.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Charge RN experience is mandatory.
