Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to join our team for a 13-week contract. The successful candidate will work 4×10-hour rotating day shifts and will cover a diverse patient demographic ranging from adolescents to geriatric individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Interventional Radiology unit.
• Assist with interventional radiology procedures and ensure patient safety.
• Monitor and manage patients pre-procedure, during, and post-procedure.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Be available to float within the specialty as needed.
• Fulfill on-call requirements as per the departmental schedule, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work holidays as required based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Maryland.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on Interventional Radiology and critical care (ICU) preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; NIH and CPI certifications are preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Information

The unit consists of 5 rooms and manages an average daily case volume of 18. Flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to providing exceptional care are vital for success in this role.
