Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in Long Term Care (LTC) to join our team. This role offers an opportunity for dedicated professionals to provide essential healthcare services within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in compliance with established protocols.
• Maintain patient records and document care effectively using ECS charting system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care and outcomes for all residents.
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including food safety certifications as required within the facility.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Long Term Care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Willingness to obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation (fee applicable).
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, which may include day or night rotations, depending on facility needs.

Working Conditions

• Shift: 4×12 hour shifts with variable scheduling.
• Staffing ratios: 1 nurse to 20 residents.
• Guaranteed minimum of 60 hours per 2 weeks, with the possibility of being called off for one 12-hour shift during this period.
• Travelers may be responsible for working during major winter holidays, with a preference to be available for all holidays.
• Local transportation will be provided from nearby cities, along with assistance throughout the duration of the contract.
