Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team on the night shift. This position has become available due to a full-time staff member leaving for health reasons, and we are finding it challenging to recruit for this essential role.

Position Information

• Role: RRT Respiratory Therapist
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Call Requirements: Yes, within 2 hours for the oncoming shift
• Required Years of Experience: 3+ years
• Float Requirements: Experience in NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, ED, as well as adult acute and critical care is required.

Education & Certifications Required

• BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• NRP certification for NICU
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: Varied daily assignments, covering the entire facility with a team of 14-16 RRTs
• Patient Ratios: Acute care 1:25, critical care 1:8
• Equipment: Includes Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, Vapotherm
• EMR System: EPIC

Hiring Profile

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital and level 1 trauma center
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: NICU/PICU and cardiothoracic care experience
• Type of Patients: Varied patient population
• Personality Fit: Flexible, team player with excellent communication skills
