Emergency Room Nurse

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our team. This role is crucial in providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Shift Information

• 12-Hour Night Shift: 3 PM – 3 AM

Unit Information

• Emergency Department
• 50+ Beds
• 200-250 Patients Daily
• Designated Comprehensive Stroke Center & Chest Pain Center
• Level 2 Trauma Center

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department or similar specialty.
• Prior experience in a busy trauma center and a teaching facility is mandatory.
• Compact or Florida nursing license required.

Certifications Required

• AHA-BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• ENPC (to be obtained within the first year of ER employment)
• NIHSS
• TNCC
• CPI (to be obtained after the first 13-week assignment)

Preferred Certifications

• ATCN
• CEN

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio

The nurse-to-patient ratio per shift is 1:4.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must successfully pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam.
