Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of cardiac nursing experience and hold certifications in BLS and ACLS. Experience in nursing telemetry and step-down units is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions such as atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, and more.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Assist in the management of specialized procedures including CABG, valve replacements, and electrophysiology procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement effective patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, including preparation for catastrophic events.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS; NIHSS preferred.
• Ability to float to different units as needed.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as part of the job requirement.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour night shift (1845-0715)
• Contract options available for 36 or 48 hours per week, with longer commitments accepted.
• Ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients.
• A maximum of 7 days of RTO (requested time off) will be permitted.

Equipment and Systems

• Utilization of equipment such as arterial lines, EKG machines, and monitoring systems.
• Documentation and communication through Pyxis and EPIC systems.

Orientation and Dress Code

• Unit orientation provided over a 24-hour period.
• Required attire: Navy blue pants and a white top.
