CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse to join our team. This role requires extensive experience in open heart procedures and vascular care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiovascular operating room nursing, demonstrating competency in both clinical skills and patient care.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care during cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure quality and safety during operations.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed and per protocols.
• Document patient care and surgical outcomes accurately in medical records.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding post-operative care.
• Assist in maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of two years of CVOR experience, specifically in open heart and vascular procedures.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Flexibility to float to other units as necessary, based on patient care needs.

Work Schedule

The position offers a day shift schedule of 4 ten-hour shifts, providing a balanced work-life opportunity. Specifics about on-call responsibilities will be discussed during the interview process.

Additional Information

This position is suitable for local candidates or first-time travelers. The role may require floating to various units within the organization as determined by staffing needs; staff will only float to units for which they are qualified.
