Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Department care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and be capable of handling various patient situations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment and triage in a combined adult/pediatric emergency department setting.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Perform phlebotomy and start intravenous (IV) lines.
• Deliver continuous IV sedation and manage IV vasopressors.
• Administer procedural sedation and assist with ventilated patients.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and provide CPAP/BiPAP support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department nursing experience required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS are mandatory.
• Proficient in EPIC electronic health records.

Schedule

This position requires night shifts (4×12-hour), with floating as needed among various units. Weekend and holiday shifts are also part of the contract agreement.

Patient Ratio

The standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5.
