ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and requires a strong background in critical care nursing.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including reading telemetry strips.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including attendings and residents available 24/7.
• Float to medical/surgical units as needed, with a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of continuous experience in an Adult ICU, preferably in a MICU setting.
• Ability to read telemetry strips proficiently.
• Current Massachusetts RN License is required.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Floating to medical/surgical units is required, managing up to 4 or 5 patients during these shifts.

Work Schedule

• Full-time position with 36 or 48 hours per week required.
• Nights and every other weekend (EOW) commitment expected.
