Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

About the Position

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires the ability to manage multiple patients with varying levels of acuity and requires excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours, Days (7 AM – 7 PM)
• Patient Ratios: 1:4, with potential adjustment to 1:5 based on patient acuity
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May be required to float to meet facility needs within scope and between like units

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an emergency department setting
• First-timers: New travelers are accepted
• Licensure: Must possess a valid South Carolina license or a Compact license prior to start
• Certifications: Required – ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS; Preferred – TNCC
• Additional Requirements: Completion of all assigned training modules prior to the start date is mandatory; access to modules will be provided the Wednesday before the start date; attendance at staff meetings is required.

• Block Scheduling: Requests can be made prior to assignment but are not guaranteed.
• Local Radius: Candidates should reside within 60 miles.
• Local Candidates: Accepted on a case-by-case basis, subject to review.
• Time Off: All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application and will be assessed based on facility needs.
• Guaranteed Hours: The facility can cancel one shift every two weeks.
