Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic team at a busy Level 2 Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing and critical care, excelling in a fast-paced environment with high-acuity patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to emergency room patients with a variety of critical needs.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions while implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding treatment plans and health maintenance.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency room or critical care setting.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH (pending certification is acceptable).
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system is required.
• Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements including a 2-step PPD and flu vaccine; no exemptions allowed.

Work Schedule

The position primarily involves night shifts, consisting of four 12-hour shifts weekly from 19:00 to 07:00. A flexible approach to weekend shifts is required, with a maximum of six weekends scheduled within a 6-week period.
