Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general surgery and proven experience in a surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Assist with the preparation of the operating room and ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
• Monitor patient vitals and condition pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in on-call shifts as required, potentially including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in general surgery.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Work Schedule

The working schedule includes:

• Two day shifts (8 hours) with flexibility in start times: 0645-1515 or 1045-1915.
• Two day shifts (12 hours) from 0645-1915.

Additional Information

Scrubs will be provided for all staff members. This position may require on-call duties, which could include a weekend shift during the orientation phase.
