Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Pediatrics

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in pediatrics for a 13-week assignment with the possibility of an extension. This position requires a commitment to night shifts, including weekends and holidays, and may involve floating to multiple locations within the region.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care in a busy pediatric hospital environment.
• Float between various facilities as needed, including emergency departments and intensive care units.
• Perform triage and assist in managing respiratory emergencies.
• Utilize advanced airway management techniques and operate various respiratory equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent RRT experience, with a focus on pediatrics.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Registered RT status with proof of certification and a valid GA Respiratory Care Professional license.
• Education: Diploma or associate degree in respiratory therapy with RRT credentials (CRT not accepted).
• Experience with EPIC charting is mandatory.
• Familiarity with respiratory equipment, including V-60, Servo-i, Drager, Hamilton T-1, Vapotherm, and Optiflow.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with minimal to no requests for time off.

Skills Required

• Intermediate to advanced skills in respiratory care.
• Proficient in operating ventilators and managing patients in critical conditions, including Level I Trauma.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
