Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in either a Med Surg or Telemetry unit. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate strong nursing skills and be capable of managing patient care effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• Self-scheduling with schedule balancing to meet staffing needs

Patient Care Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Providing exceptional care to patients in Med Surg and Telemetry units
• Adhering to established nursing protocols and policies
• Monitoring patient vitals and responding to changes in patient conditions
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Nurse to Patient Ratios

• Medical Surgical Unit:
  • 5:1 ratio from 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM
  • 6:1 ratio from 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Telemetry Unit:
  • 4:1 ratio from 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM
  • 5:1 ratio from 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
