Medical Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN)

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac monitoring and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, managing dysrhythmias effectively.
• Provide care for patients with medical-surgical conditions.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide effective care in high-pressure situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Documentation of patient care in Cerner IS, preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Tele nursing.
• Experience managing a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
• Completion of at least 1 travel assignment is preferred.
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam, achieving at least 80% overall and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in orthopedic care, including ortho trauma and total joint replacements.
• Previous charge nurse experience is a plus.
• Keen understanding of care requirements for orthopedic patients.

Additional Requirements

• Weekend work is required every other week (EOW).
• Float to other units may be required, based on facility needs.
• Scrubs not provided; ceil blue scrubs are required.
• Flu vaccine is mandatory for all employees.

Work Schedule

• Day shift: 3×12 hours (07:00 – 19:00)
• Night shift: 3×12 hours (19:00 – 07:00)
