Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for this opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
This position involves floating to the Emergency Department at multiple locations within the region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care.
- Document patient care according to established standards.
- Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
- Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care tailored to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the Physician and clinic policy, including patient and family education.
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
- Utilize clinical expertise to guide other units and departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
- Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, appropriately escalating concerns to the chain of command.
- Engage in professional nursing continuum processes, unit practice activities, and peer review processes.
