Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. This position requires flexibility and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit.
• Manage and administer medications, including blood products, heparin, insulin, and PCA.
• Perform peripheral line care management and initiate IVs as necessary.
• Utilize Rapid Response teams effectively when required.
• Carry out EKGs and pass an EKG exam during the onboarding process.
• Ensure adherence to isolation precautions to maintain patient safety.
• Float to other units and locations as necessary, based on patient and facility needs.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as scheduled.
• May be required to work in a Charge Nurse capacity on occasion.

Shift Information

This role involves 3×12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend and holiday rotation are included in the schedule.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records is mandatory.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:6 efficiently.
