General Ultrasound Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified General Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic team. The role offers a challenging yet rewarding environment in a teaching facility, with opportunities to enhance your skill set and contribute to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform abdominal Doppler imaging and participate in transplant procedures.
• Provide accurate and timely ultrasound examinations for proper diagnosis.
• Collaborate with multiple departments and float between different locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required, with proficiency in abdominal Doppler imaging and transplants.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and either ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification required.
• Education: Must have graduated from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Licensure: South Carolina state ultrasound licensure is not required.

Work Schedule

This position requires working 3 shifts of 12 hours during the night from Friday to Sunday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Additional Information

• Parking: A one-time payment of $20 for a parking pass is required for night and weekend shifts.
• Emergency Response: All employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
• Scrub Colors: Teal tops and black bottoms are required for scrubs.
• Charting System: The facility utilizes Epic for charting.
