General Ultrasound Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled General Ultrasound Technologist to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures in a dynamic and supportive environment. This position involves working evenings and weekends, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct abdominal Doppler imaging and transplant assessments.
• Interact with patients to provide comfort and reassurance during procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document findings in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Float between multiple locations as needed to meet operational demands.

Shift Details

This position requires working three 12-hour night shifts per week, specifically from Friday to Sunday, with hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ultrasound technician role.
• Proficiency in abdominal Doppler imaging and transplant procedures is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.
• ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification is required.
• A degree from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography is mandatory.

Additional Information

• No on-call requirements for this position.
• All requested time off must be communicated prior to the submission process.
• This role supports a teaching environment and operates within a Magnet-designated facility.
• Parking is available for a nominal fee during night and weekend shifts.
• During hurricane season (June through November), all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Consideration should be given to this when confirming assignments during this time.
