Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate total nursing care for patients in the Emergency Room (ER). This role involves participating in patient and family education and providing leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain high standards of professional nursing practice in a clinical setting.

The Registered Nurse will recognize that each patient is a unique individual, advocating for their right to receive quality nursing care. This includes ensuring mutual goal setting between the nurse and the patient while protecting patient rights and privacy.

Accountabilities include adherence to ethical and professional standards as defined in the ANA Code for Nurses, the ANA Nursing’s Social Policy Statement, the State of Michigan Public Health Code, and the ANA and Specialty Nursing Standards of Clinical Practice. Additionally, the Registered Nurse will comply with regulations set forth by agencies such as the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the Michigan Occupational Health and Safety Administration (MIOSHA).

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, BLS (AHA)
• Current Michigan state nursing license

Additional Information

This position operates on a guarantee of 36 hours per week with weekend work required. The Registered Nurse will be expected to demonstrate competence in nursing practice and take responsible ownership of their actions and judgments.
