Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant’s primary function is to perform selected physical therapy procedures and related tasks under the direction and supervision of a registered Physical Therapist. The Assistant will treat patients using modalities and exercise based on the patient’s medical needs and the approved treatment plan, while also understanding their limitations in this role. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the department in a neat and orderly manner and completing all documentation of daily notes and discharge data. Patients may include infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations.

Weekend Requirements

Occasional Saturday shifts may be required in inpatient rehabilitation or acute care settings at the main hospital.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of outpatient experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Recent travel experience is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Active state license in Oklahoma is required.
