Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced and high-volume emergency department. This role will involve providing care for a diverse range of patients, from pediatric to geriatric populations, with complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, and up to 5 with lower acuity cases.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the department’s STEMI and Stroke certification processes as needed.
• Float to other sister emergency departments as required.

Schedule and Shifts

The role requires rotating shifts primarily during the day, with the possibility of mid shifts based on departmental needs. The standard schedule is 3×12-hour shifts (07:00-19:30 and 11:00-23:30), and the RN will be expected to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting preferred.
• First-time travelers accepted with strong experience and skillset.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH required.
• CPI certification will be provided during onboarding.

Work Environment

This position is located in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department, where nurses will encounter a wide array of complex patient diagnoses.
