Registered Nurse (RN)

Seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) for a Float Pool position supporting multiple medical-surgical units. The facility is a 600-bed capacity with a focus on various specialties including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, gynecology, genitourinary, hips and joints, oncology, as well as transplant services for liver and kidneys, and vascular care.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in assigned medical-surgical units.
• Monitor and administer medications, including blood transfusions and IV therapies.
• Conduct patient assessments, including performing 12-lead EKGs and telemetry monitoring.
• Support respiratory therapy by administering nebulizers as needed.
• Maintain a collaborative approach with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Adapt to varying assignments with the potential for short notice scheduling.

Shift Information

• Combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts.
• Rotating day, evening, and night shifts, with every other weekend required.
• One week in every four-week period will consist of one 12-hour shift and three 8-hour shifts.
• Orientation provided weekly on Mondays.
• Requests for time off must be presented at the time of submission.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license is required at the time of submission.
• A minimum of 3 years of related clinical experience is required.
• Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise are preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Basic familiarity with computers and the ability to navigate web-based applications is needed.
• Epic experience is required.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications are necessary.
• Ability to handle patient ratios averaging 4:1 on days and 6:1 on nights.
