Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Float Pool Team. The position involves working across multiple medical surgical units within a large healthcare facility, specializing in various fields including neurology, cardiac care, bariatrics, general medicine, general surgery, gynecology, urology, hips and joints, oncology, and transplant services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care across 15 medical surgical units.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including nebulizers and blood transfusions.
• Perform unit-specific procedures such as 12 lead EKGs, telemetry monitoring, and lasix infusions.
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapists for ventilator management.
• Ensure optimal patient outcomes by adhering to hospital policies and protocols.
• Maintain effective communication with interdisciplinary team members and patients.

Work Schedule

• Shifts are a combination of 8 and 12 hours, with rotating day and night schedules.
• Every week will include one 12-hour shift alongside three 8-hour shifts.
• Availability for weekend shifts is required, with a rotation every other weekend.
• Formal time-off requests should be submitted with the application and are subject to approval.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License required at the time of application.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience is required.
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills, with the ability to navigate web-based applications; experience with Epic is required.
• Certifications: Current CPR (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications are necessary.
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting and specialty area expertise are preferred.
• Level I trauma experience is required.

Orientation and Training

Orientation occurs weekly, every Monday, excluding holidays, to ensure that all new hires are properly trained and integrated into the float pool.
