Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our Float Pool team in a Telemetry unit. This position involves working the night shift, providing essential care and support to patients across various departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals in providing quality patient care.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.
• Provide support with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety by keeping the environment tidy and free of hazards.
• Assist in transporting patients within the facility as necessary.
• Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Technician or in a similar role.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
• Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) certification through NHA is required.

Work Schedule

This position is for the night shift, with a guaranteed workload of 37.5 hours per week based on the needs of the Float Pool.
