Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role as a member of the patient care team, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients. This position emphasizes patient- and family-centered care in all interactions, focusing on understanding and addressing the needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with medical and support staff to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, monitoring patient conditions before, during, and after interventions.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery processes, and ongoing care needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab RN.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred but not required.
• Possession of a valid RN license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

This position supports a schedule of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call may be required during the contract period, but no weekend or holiday shifts are expected. During a 13-week contract, there may be 1-2 weeknight shifts and possibly 1 weekend shift, though weekend shifts are not guaranteed.
