Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a 54-bed Cardiovascular Telemetry unit, which is divided into three wings of 18 beds each. Additionally, cardiovascular telemetry patients are cared for in an Overflow unit.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and monitoring for patients in a cardiovascular telemetry unit.
• Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor patients’ vital signs and health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments and care provided in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and families about health management and post-discharge care.

Schedule Requirements

Candidates should be able to accommodate flexible scheduling. Work on every other weekend is required, specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. If a holiday occurs during the assignment period, scheduling for holiday shifts may also be necessary.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Certification in National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Experience in telemetry nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
