Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility guidelines. The PTA will assist patients in restoring mobility, improving function, and achieving their treatment goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy interventions according to the Physical Therapist’s plan of care.
• Document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Assist with patient education and home exercise programs.
• Communicate patient status and progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control practices, and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active state Physical Therapist Assistant license (or the ability to obtain one).
• Ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
