Job Summary

The Pediatric PeriAnesthesia Unit is a specialized 10-bed pediatric preoperative and postoperative unit, complemented by an additional Pediatric Surgical Observation Unit (PSOU) that offers tailored postoperative care for young patients. The PSOU accommodates pediatric patients needing overnight observation or extended recovery periods following surgical procedures.

Job Details

• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Nights
• Weekend and holiday requirements: every other weekend, every other holiday
• Time off: Up to 40 hours can be approved

Requirements

• Certification: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Licensure: Virginia license pending submissions accepted
• Distance: Must reside within a 50-mile radius

Responsibilities

As a Pediatric Registered Nurse, you will provide exceptional care to pediatric patients throughout the perioperative process, ensuring their safety and comfort during preoperative and postoperative phases. You will collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver personalized care, monitor patient progress, and assist in educational initiatives for families regarding postoperative recovery.
