Registered Nurse (RN) – Special Care Nursery

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Special Care Nursery team. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience and previous travel nursing assignments, ensuring a well-rounded and adaptable skill set for caring for newborns in a specialized setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Special Care Nursery / Level II setting.
• Assist in delivery room procedures and provide care immediately after birth.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Float to postpartum for baby care assignments as needed.
• Work every other weekend to support unit staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Registered Nursing License with a focus in Neonatal or Pediatric care.
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and STABLE.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a Special Care Nursery setting.
• Experience in a delivery room environment is mandatory.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred but not required.
• Preceptor experience is also preferred, though not necessary.

Schedule and Contract Details

This position is contracted for a duration of 13 to 18 weeks, depending on individual preferences and needs.

Shifts are 4×12 hours on a day schedule, running from 06:50 to 19:20, with scrub uniforms provided for all shifts.
