Registered Nurse (RN) – Special Care Nursery

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a position in the Special Care Nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing care for newborns in a Level II setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to infants in the Special Care Nursery.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all patients during care transitions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care to newborns.
• Float to postpartum for baby care assignments as needed.
• Participate in unit activities and contribute to a positive work environment.

Shift Information

This position offers a 4×12-hour day shift schedule, working from 06:50 to 19:20. Every other weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Special Care Nursery or similar environment.
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
• Certifications required: BLS, NRP, and STABLE.
• Experience in charge nursing and precepting new staff is required.
• Delivery room experience is necessary for this role.
• Ability to float to other areas as needed for baby care assignments.

Additional Information

Scrubs will be provided for all staff in this position.
