MRI Technologist

Job Details

The MRI Technologist will operate MRI scanners and administer appropriate imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.

Schedule

• Shift: 12-hour days (08:00 – 20:30)
• Days: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
• Call Requirement: Rotating call once per week and one weekend every fourth week.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures in the areas of adult acute care, adult ICU, ER/Trauma, pediatric acute care, and other specified specialties.
• Ensure the preparation and administration of contrast media, and adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• Conduct special imaging procedures including T-1 and T-2 weighted images.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and maintain patient records accurately.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience.
• ARRT MR certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with the following imaging skills:
  • Abdomen and Pelvis
  • Chest
  • Head and Neck
  • Musculoskeletal system
  • Spine
• Familiarity with special imaging techniques and procedures.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Cardiovascular imaging skills, including MR Cardiac.
• Advanced knowledge in imaging techniques and radiation safety.
• Leadership experience in a clinical setting.

Orientation and Training

New hires will undergo 72 hours of orientation and must be fully available for scheduling changes during the onboarding process. Missing any part of orientation may lead to a delayed or canceled start.

Unit Information

The unit focuses on general studies including musculoskeletal, body, neuro, and breast imaging. The environment is equipped with Siemens Aera 1.5T MRI scanners and utilizes Visage PACS for image management.
