Registered Nurse (RN) – Nursery

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Nursery specialty. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and background to provide comprehensive care for infants, particularly in high-risk delivery situations. This position requires knowledge of delivery resuscitation and the stabilization of infants prior to transport.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for infants in the Nursery.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and perform delivery resuscitation and stabilization of newborns.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal infant care.
• Prepare infants for transport to specialized care facilities as needed.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records using the Medhost/GE Centricity charting system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a NICU or Nursery setting.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Ability to float to Postpartum if skill set allows.
• Must be willing to work every other weekend.

Schedule

This position follows a 7 On/7 Off schedule, working night shifts.

Unit Information

The nurse will be part of the NUR 4S Maternal Child Center, providing care to an average daily census of 4-10 infants.
